Super Easy Misua Soup

It rained so hard again today, my kids’ school shoes have been soaking wet when they get home.

And, as usual, they looked famished when they arrived. So, here’s a super easy and budget friendly soup that is perfect as snack for school kids. This soup is perfectly perfect for this type of weather.

Ingredients: I just look around what’s available in my fridge, and from there, I got this soup dish idea.

2 small packs of misua (very thin wheat noodles)
1 cup shredded cabbage (or any vegetable of choice)
1 cup fried squid balls
4-6 pieces leftover shanghai rolls (break into bite-size pieces)
dice garlic and onion
salt and pepper to taste

Cooking Procedure:

  • Saute garlic and onion. Add in the shanghai roll pieces.
  • Pour in 500ml of water.
  • Bring to a boil. Add in the noodles. Also the cabbage.
  • Simmer for two minutes. Season.
  • Top with fried squid balls.

And, the hot soup’s ready. Easy cooking. Easy on the budget. Perfect for hungry school kids.
